Due to a rising number of COVID-19 cases and restrictions prohibiting multi-household gatherings, Poultney Public Library will be switching to visits by appointment only effective Friday, November 20.
–Appointments will be available every half hour on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (M/F 10-1 & 2-5, W 12-3 & 4-7). Appointments will consist of 15 minutes for browsing and selecting materials, five minutes for check out, leaving 10 minutes after the patron leaves for staff to clean commonly touched surfaces.
-While appointments are limited to one household per time slot, patrons that require assistance can bring a helper even if they are from another household.
–To make an appointment, please call the library at 802-287-5556 or email email@example.com. Please do not contact staff directly to make appointments.
–Appointments will also be required for computer and photocopier use.
-If you were planning to come in to make purchases from local artists featured in our display cases, you may make an appointment for that as well.
-Outdoor pick up will now be available Monday-Friday.
-Due to Governor Scott’s leisure travel restrictions, and our status as non-essential, out of state patrons will not be able to make appointments for library visits. However, they are still welcome to utilize our outdoor pick up service!
We apologize for the inconvenience! We are doing everything we can to ensure the safety of our staff and patrons while still allowing people to browse for their own materials.
The Poultney Public Library collects, maintains, and makes available to all members of the community resources that contribute to personal, educational and recreational enrichment.
