.5k Dash for the Donuts Saturday, October 29 at 10am
Join us for Poultney Public Library’s first ever “race” fundraiser! The Dash for the Donuts is a .5k race (yes, ½ kilometer) for people who don’t run. The route starts in front of Poultney High School and ends in front of Poultney Public Library. Registration is $10 for adults and $5 for youth (under 18). Registration forms are available at the library.
We will have two special stops for participants during the race. Adequate fuel is important for every athlete, so participants are invited to stop at our Hydration Station sponsored by Williams Hardware. Bob will have apple cider available in front of the store for .5k participants.
After your cider the route continues down Main Street. Just in case you need a break on the way to the library, Original Vermont Store will be sponsoring our First Aid Station. This station will be equipped with chairs in case you need to rest up for the last leg of the race, and Nicole will have fudge samples for .5k participants for an added energy boost.
Once participants are rested, they will make their way to the finish line in front of the library! Celebratory donuts will be available (It is the Dash for the Donuts after all!) and prizes will be awarded.
As this race is about enjoying the journey, prizes will not be awarded based on finishing time. Our prize categories will include Youngest Registered Racer, Oldest Racer, Most Creative Race Outfit, and more! For more information, or to register, stop by the library or download and mail this form.
